James Terry, Senior Vice President and Superintendent
Lieutenant General (Ret) Terry, a native of Chatsworth, Georgia, is an alumnus of Murray County High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management from what was then North Georgia College, now the University of North Georgia. During his time at UNG, he was a member of the Cadet Corps, a Distinguished Military Student, and a Distinguished Military Graduate, commissioned into the Infantry Branch upon graduation in 1978. He holds a Master of Arts in Business Administration from Webster University and a Master of Science in National Security Strategy and Policy from the U.S. National Defense University.
Throughout his distinguished military career, Lieutenant General Terry commanded at every level from Rifle Platoon Leader to Theater Army. He has led Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines from multiple nations in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria. After retiring from the U.S. Army in January 2016 at the rank of Lieutenant General, he transitioned to the U.S. Defense Industry, serving as Senior Vice President for Strategy and Business Development at Cubic Defense since August 2016.

Colonel (Ret) Bryan G. Kirk retired as a special forces officer with over 27 years of U.S. Army. He is a graduate of Campbell University (North Carolina) where he commissioned and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He holds Master of Science degrees in Strategic Studies (Army War College), National Security and Strategic Studies (Naval War College), and a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts (LSU). Lieutenant General James "Terry" Scott Marker Lieutenant General James "Terry" Scott. . Lieutenant General (LTG) James "Terry" Scott was born on 17 August 1942. He graduated from Coleman High School in 1960 and from Texas A&M University in 1964. He was commissioned as an Army Infantry officer. LTG Scott's 32 years of military experience included commands of tactical units at all levels from platoon through division. He served in six foreign countries and participated in five combat tours. LTG Scott served three combat tours in Vietnam. From 1993 until his retirement in 1996, he was Commanding General of the United States Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg. During his military service, LTG Scott earned five awards for valor, including two Silver Stars. He was wounded twice in combat and received two Purple Hearts. From 1997 through 2001, LTG Scott was director of the National Security program at the John F Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, where he taught graduate and executive level programs on national security matters and issues. In 2004, he was appointed by the President of the United States as chairman of the crucial Veterans' Disability Benefits Commission (VDBC) that reported to Congress and the President in 2007. LTG Scott was also chairman of the Advisory Committee on Disability Compensation and Health Issues on behalf of the Secretary of Veterans' Affairs. He earned an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. In 2008, LTG Scott was inducted into the Texas A&M University Corps Hall of Honor, and he received the Distinguished Service Award from the Military Officers Association of America for his contributions to soldiers and veterans. He has served in a wide variety of assignments as a company grade officer including rifle platoon leader, company executive officer, and anti-tank platoon leader while stationed with the 1st-15th Infantry, 3rd Infantry Division in Kitzingen, Federal Republic of Germany. He also served as the logistics officer and later operations officer for 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Subsequently, he was assigned to be the Assistant Professor of Military Science and the Assistant Commandant of Cadets at North Georgia College in Dahlonega, Georgia. Later, he was assigned as the battalion executive officer for the United Nations Command Security Force Battalion, the Joint Security Area, in Panmunjom, Korea. After his return to the United States, he served as deputy operation and brigade executive officer with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, executive officer to the Inspector General of the Army, chief of initiatives and deputy commander of the Joint Warfighting Center, U.S. Joint Forces Command in Norfolk, Virginia, and operations officer for the Coalition Forces Land Component Command, Army Central Command, at Camp Doha in Kuwait. On Aug. 3, 2011, the Department of Defense announced the nomination of Terry to the rank of lieutenant general and for command of V Corps, U.S. Army Europe and 7th Army. Terry continued to command V Corps while also serving as commander of IJC, and as deputy commander of United States Forces Afghanistan.
