MaryKate Beaupre

MaryKate Beaupre is a proud alum of Betty Gundersen Studio of Dance. In 2014, she moved to New York City to study dance at Marymount Manhattan College, under the direction of Katie Langan. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a concentration in Teaching Dance Arts in 2018. Throughout her eight years living in NYC, MaryKate taught at several dance schools in New York and Connecticut, including Ballet Academy East and New England Academy of Dance. She was also a lead instructor at Pure Barre, a barre fitness studio, where she taught classes and trained new instructors. MaryKate danced professionally with Peggy Spina Tap Company and in various contemporary dance festivals. She holds teacher certifications in Progressing Ballet Technique, Boston Ballet School’s Adaptive Dance, and American Preparatory Ballet Training. In 2022, MaryKate moved back to Massachusetts and is currently faculty at Boston Ballet School. MaryKate is thrilled to be teaching at BGSD, a truly special place where her dance journey began. 

Danielle Benkert

Danielle’s love of dance started at the age of 2 when she began her 16 years of training under Carol-Ann Boardway in Springfield, MA (now Shooting Star Dance Center). After graduating high school, she studied psychology and child development at Utica College of Syracuse University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. This lead her to pursue a career in Child Life, a traditionally hospital-based profession that focuses on supporting children and families through hospitalization and illness. As a practicing Certified Child Life Specialist for eight years at UMass Memorial Children’s Medical Center, her creativity extended to fostering creative movement and activities to normalize the hospital environment and support normal growth and development.
