  • THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Muhammad Khan administered the oath of office to KB Ganesh Kumar and Kadanapalli Ramachandran as per the Left Front's agreement. This move followed the resignation of former ministers Antony Raju and Ahmed Devarkovil, adhering to the Front's prior decision to assign new ministers after their two-and-a-half-year tenure.

    Kerala actor-politician ties the knot again
    Thiruvananthapuram, Jan Film star-turned-politician Kumar, who first lost his cabinet post after his then wife accused him of domestic violence and then got divorced, Friday married Bindu Menon at his ancestral home at Kottarakara near here.

    The year-old Kumar, the forest minister in the Oommen Chandy cabinet, had to resign on April 2, after his then wife Yamini Thankachi met the chief minister with a written complaint of domestic violence being unleashed by him.

    The issue moved on to the courts but in a few days, an out of court settlement was reached with Kumar agreeing to give her the home.

    Actor-politician K B Ganesh Kumar, who recently got divorced from his first wife Dr Yamini Thankachi, tied the knot for the second time yesterday in a private ceremony. His new life partner is Bindu Menon, who works in the Gulf bureau of a prominent Malayalam TV news channel. The wedding was at Keezhoottu Tharavadu, Ganesh’s family residence at Valakom near Kottarakkara.
    Just about invitees, including close friends and relatives, were invited to the ceremony. And among them only 15 were from the bride’s side. Filmmaker and Ganesh’s friend Shaji Kailas is one of the few celebrities from tinseltown who took part in the wedding ceremony.
